Timbaland sucks worse than ever now, that gray meatball needs to retire. I never liked that guy's beats to begin with and pretty much rap has sucked since about the same time he and Missy turned up. I liked Missy, but Timbaland nah, cheap toy sound.

I just popped on MTV and ran into some of the saddest rap and RnB I could imagine. Boy bands were officially replaced by bad hip hop a long time ago, why is this bling champagne party farce still going on? I'd rather hear Miley and Kid Rock duet than this garbage.

Remember when rap fans used to shun stuff like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice? This stuff IS Hammer and Vanilla. Eminem, Kanye, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Puffy... if this is the better side of things I'm sorry, this is pure garbage.

Is new rap music STILL taking a shit?

One good thing about it is that young people are absolutely listening to a lot of good older soul, funk, disco, house, techno, rap, rock, blues, everything, etc. I see tons of young kids commenting and asking about videos of old tunes now.

I liked some of the early Timbaland tunes with Usher and Aaliyah. But really his strong point was that he was a little more interesting than most manufactured pop stuff, which is faint praise.

Anyway I'm not sure if I've heard the song with Drake. That guy drives me up the wall.

timbaland deserves a LOT of blame, yes.

to be fair, i did like missy's first record, but i think it was her flavor that drew me in.

yeah i really dug (secretly, of course) a few joints on JTs first album. senorita i thought was EXTREMELY fun. but only a couple on his lovesexystoneham record or whatever.
