This one has something for everyone to hate!

These are the tunes I've been listening to during the warm weather months this year -- put in the most appropriate order I could conceive. I'm pretty sure everyone will hate at least one of the songs if not more ... and if you happen to like them all, well, maybe we should get married! This is Massachusetts so anything could happen! Hubba hubba.

Hope you can find a way to dig it all.

it shouldn't cut out at the end. maybe i uploaded the wrong version by mistake, or the server is acting weird. i'll investigate.

ok i need to re-upload this. the version on the server gets cut off over 20 minutes early ... weird. so either my upload died and i didn't notice or the server is dropping downloads early. the mix is actually 65 minutes.

so anyway i'm taking the link in the original post down until i have it fixed. sorry duders.

ok it's fixed now. i compared the filesize on the server with the original and it's now the same. i guess my original upload died and i didn't notice as the filesize on the server didn't match the local file.

then went home for an evening of SFIV, Trials HD and Shadow Complex with classy evening breakfast and RANMA 1/2!!!

pirkka how do you like shadow complex? i need to try that. been slacking on my console gaming lately with the exception of Grand Slam Tennis and the odd round of BF1943. i'm somehow back in a PC gaming phase (TF2, Call of Duty Nazi Zombies, Quake Live).

shadow complex: pretty awesome so far. i'm a couple of hours into it. very Amiga gameplay which is a great improvement for me. i'm tired of 3D gameplay to be honest, so a 2.5D game with high production values is a breath of fresh air.

the whole thing is very well designed, starting from how you can play the demo and purchase the full game in the middle of the game without any backtracking. there are couple of hard-to-figure-out spots but nothing that google won't fix. usually you just need to figure out where to jump and how.

all in all, a great update to the metroidvania genre, and one that should also appeal to a wider audience thanx to great 3D graphics and slick interaction design.

I haven't been to the gym since friday when I strained my lower back doing legs. I have been waiting until I'm really listening (at the gym is the only time) to give this a listen. Is it weird that I never listen to music at all anymore except on youtube or at the gym? Weird but true, mostly because I don't feel comfortable bugging people with speakers, and I feel like someone is sneaking up on me when I wear headphones in the office (plus they squeeze my glasses).

Someone key me in on some insanely good phones please. I like them light as a feather and easy to position with one ear. I miss the old foam cup cheapo sony walkman style. I broke my last pair at the gym and can't find them anywhere anymore. Those back of the head jobs and earplug style are horrible.

i have the apple stereo headset and i find that pretty good for listening, and it also works great for t-paining it up! lol.

i don't think you can ever go wrong with the sony mdr-7506s though!

awesome! steam 2k9 is now queued for a motw release!

i tried listening to music with my iphone, but that's just not for me. i pump itunes with my sportapros at work, and airport express at home if i feel like putting something on. trying to fill the short commuting periods with music makes my head explode, i already spend hours per day listening to something :)

i got some sennheiser in-ear ones like that but i find that when running or doing the elliptical they end up transfering the noise form the cord rubbing against my shit into my ears as a rumble ... like because they are wedged in my ears it transfers the vibration from the cord into my ear. maybe they just don't fit my ear canals properly or something, but they sound great otherwise (when i'm walking or sitting still) and they feel like they fit.

cheers duder. i really love all the tunes on it for various reasons.

i would guess that the how me look song is probably pushing the limits for a lot of people, and for me that modern dancehall style with the trance sounds and the yelling is almost by default a no-no, but something about that tune really does it for me. kind of reminds me of a 1993 breakbeat tune with the melody and breakdowns.
